Bio:


Daniel Porter Stevens is a sculptor and jeweler living in Scottsville, NY. He studied sculpture at SUNY Purchase and metalsmithing at Rochester Institute of Technology. Before turning to jewelry Daniel worked in NYC making props for Broadway, magazines, commercials, and fashion shows. He got started make as a young child when he became fully immersed in woodturning. He has been an accomplished self-taught wood turner for the past twenty years. His jewelry is influenced by forms and textures found in nature, which he translates into wearable sculpture.
